Where’s The Sun

I have been thinking of Braydan and Jessica a lot.
We have had enough rain in the last three day for a year’s rainfall and snowfall in Az... The only problem we have had is a little worry with water on our patio. This morning Craig and I scooped up about seven buckets of water off our back porch.

This picture is after the water has gone down, which Craig said taking a picture now is a little late, but I took it anyway. We now have a lakeside view from our back yard, which is really a green space. If anyone wants to ski, the resorts have tons of snow. Also, the desert blooms will be beautiful this spring with our rainfall. You might want to come and see.
Monday, I did however pick two red tomatoes from my plant.

We used to think the little rabbits were so cute in our green space but now we hate them! Since the HOA did not plant winter grass, the rabbits have no food to eat. However, they have found our yard. Craig has been spraying a stinky solvent to keep them out which has helped, but they are all over the neighborhood. I am hoping some drowned. I know, I should never let my real meanness come out. Especially for all to read, but I do not like them anymore. I had better stop rambling, or I will be here all day.

Thanksgiving

Since I have not posted for a while here is a lot of old news from Thanksgiving on. Sym and Josh came down for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful having them. I have never been or have seen shopping so much. My favorite is always the swap meet. Sym made sure our Christmas tree went up which she bought, and they brought up when they moved all our belonging last year. It is hard to believe that we have been in our home over a year now.
I didn't take a lot of pictures so check out my childrens blog. They are much better than I. More up to date also.

Christmas

I have been making these Christmas tree ornament. I love them, and next year I will get them all finished with a picture of each of my grandchildren in either a white or a red frame.

Christmas we spent with the Parkers, which was very fun. They even play games with us, which I love. They love it to when I lose. They boys still are crazy about Grandpa and never want him to leave. They do pay a little attention to me, which I love. I really do not mind that they love Grandpa the most. It is more restful for me.

The week after Christmas Braydan, Jessica, and their kids came. They stayed for a week and the visit was wonderful. The nights were a little hard, but the days were good. My favorite activities were playing games, going to the swap meet, and the dinosaur museum. Brody was very scared of the dinosaurs, but Gavin and especially Kaleb loved them.

I am so glad when the kids come to visit. Thanks so much for the visits. We love you and are so proud of each one of you. We need Travis, Shandi and Chase to come visit. In addition, I would love to see sisters. I am planning to come to Logan around the end of May and first week in June. Sym is having a baby BOY the end of May. In April, Helena is having a baby GIRL. Can you believe it?

A Memorial for Fido

November 7th, 2009
Craig and I put Fido down today. Yesterday, Craig, Gavin, and Fido went for a walk up to the mountain by Helena’s home. Which we often walk. Craig heard a rattle a Fido jumped. The rattlesnake bit Fido on the back leg. We are very glad that Gavin or Craig was not bit. I was with Brody who was asleep and Craig called which was lucky he had the phone and even more luck that I had the keys to the car. I told Craig to leave the keys just in case Brody woke up. I quickly drove to the mountain, we lifted Fido in the car and then drove back to Helena’s, and Craig dropped us off, then off to the veterinarians Craig and Fido went. Fido stayed there for about 4 hours. We than took Fido home but this morning took him back to the vet and decided to put him to sleep. To say the least we are very teary. Fido was a very good dog and always wanted to please us. We will miss him.

New Back Yard

We finally decided on a landscaper. We had to decide on the type of grass and edging. He took us to a nursery to pick out plants and trees. Then went to his house to see his trees. He started the yard Monday with extra deck and sprinklers. Tuesday came the trees, plants and concrete edging and finished the sprinklers. Then Wednesday they finished with laying sod and the rock. We like it a lot. It has been very hot, 110, and the plants look a little sad, but I think still doing ok. The nights have cooled down to the 60-70's. We are excited to sit out and enjoy the yard.

Visitors! In July?

Sym and the girls come to visit for the week. We thought they were crazy coming in July and Sym driving alone with two kids but they made it safe and Sym didn't complain at all about the heat, like us Arizona's did. We had a great time and are glad they came. Josh flew in Thursday night and they all drive home Sunday morning. I didn't take as many pictures as a should have. I have no prof that Josh was even here and I'm also not sure were Brody and grandpa went from my picture taking. As you might know they are always together. I did take tons of pictures of Cheyane. She has changed the most. What cute girls. It was Sym's Birthday while she was here and I'm sure you are all wondering if I forgot. I DID NOT. Sym will love the picture opening her present. She loves holiday as you all know so we actually had to celebrate with me even making a cake. That was about my limit which is better then other times. I told Craig he had to write on the blog. Check out my children's blogs also.

Happy Birthday Sissy!

The girls loved their bikes that Sym brought from home!

Jeepers!

I know the picture is blurry. You might want to guess who. I loved it because below is this roller coaster ride just before they started and it goes crazy fast. I went on this ride once but never again. DIZZY

Cheyane loved this ride. No motion at all.

Buy a Car in One Day

Yes!! Unbelievably, Craig and I bought a car in one day. We are proud to be owners of a new-used 06 Buick. My dad and Valeen loved their Buicks. Braydan and Jessica love their Buick and hopefully Craig and I will love our Buick. The trick in buying a car in one day is this: Start at 10:00 in the morning and go all day at one dealership with a break for lunch. Have a good salesman that Craig even likes. Have the heat outside over 110. Inside the cars, who knows how hot? So … Craig decided, and I hoped, that we would not do this everyday for a month or more. I told the men at the dealership if we bought a car today I would fall over; and yes, I did fall over.
